A bespoke and tailored approach to HR, people and culture
One of the core philosophies of our approach here at People and Growth Consulting is aligning people practices to organisational goals, regardless of sector or industry. We’re highly regarded for our ability to be operational and hands on, as well as commercially strategic, and we believe our superpower is how our work is informed by data and information. This gives us a framework for analysing the complexity in HR challenges and finding the simplest solutions to address these. Put simply: we have a bespoke and tailored approach to people and culture.
Whether we’re working with clients on strategic, once-off projects like change management, or working with clients filling their HR gaps as their outsourced HR director, or when we’re designing and delivering people and culture workshops, we start every project with a ‘so, what’s happening’ process, not its official title! We want to know the organisation we’re working with and its business climate, goals and challenges. It’s this detailed knowledge that then informs the tailored solutions we propose to meet identified and articulated needs, as well as needs we uncover along the way. Our people and culture audit and review gives us a baseline to work from, and allows us to tailor a bespoke, specific approach to an organisation’s needs, both their immediate and long term.
You see, people and culture are there to help bring an organisation’s vision to life. This essentially means that HR is all about supporting your people in the context of your goals. We need to know the gap between the goals and the people and culture before we can create a fit for purpose solution. We’ve been in this game a long time and have worked across many different organisation types, sizes and sectors. While many organisations have similarities, we wholeheartedly believe that no two organisations are the same and no two cultures are the same. This means that the HR services we provide can’t be a cut and paste from project to project, workplace to workplace.
Culture is a long game - which is why a bespoke approach is more effective for the long term, as well as to get short term projects over the line. As above, no two businesses are the same, which means the people needs in one workplace could look wildly different to those in a different workplace. Our years of experience and expertise, partnered with the tools, resources and accreditations we hold allow us to apply the best solution to suit strategic needs and context. Our focus is on impact and results, and getting the absolute best return on investment on strategies and solutions. This might mean that for a specific challenge, best practice might not actually be what the workplace needs to meet their goals. It’s our experience that allows us to ‘whip up’ the most effective and efficient people and culture approach to meet the business needs.
That said, meeting regulations, knowing legal implications and adhering to compliance obligations are non-negotiable. Solid and robust HR foundations are essential to a thriving culture and this is where our outsourced HR services provide the scaffolding that lets leaders know that they’re doing the right thing by their people while bringing to life their people and culture strategy.
Our data and information driven context for working with clients is core to our approach. It’s this insight-rich understanding that allows us to work with organisations to address their people and culture challenges and opportunities with bespoke, tailored solutions that meet their needs. It’s flexible, responsive and adaptive, and we love our work!
